Dental X-rays are not required at every visit, but they are recommended on a regular basis—usually once a year—to help us detect problems that aren’t visible during a visual exam, such as cavities between teeth or issues under the gums. If you’re a new patient or have a history of dental issues, we may recommend X-rays more frequently.
